This was bad and it was only getting worse. It had been only a matter of minutes since the planned peaceful protest had gone horribly wrong. Mund had no dog in this fight, but he was here nonetheless. Something about crowds had always appealed to him, especially those aiming to protest something. He had always relished the charge he got from youthful passion turned to a noble cause, but it was even better that he could literally ride the high and consume some of that passion. It was why he had come here, standing outside City Hall alongside the (mostly) mages of SELF and chanting along. Until it turned…

He couldn’t really recall the specifics, what with being somewhat buzzed and not really knowing any of these people very well. What he did know is that one minute they had been chanting and then there had been the sound of a gunshot followed by chaos. People were screaming and running and screaming some more… It was all very hard to focus on for long without getting swept up in it…

It didn’t take long for some asshole to take advantage of the chaos and, though Mund very much doubted anyone saw who threw the first punch or the first brick, suddenly there was a full-blown riot in downtown Columbiana. Mund was all ready to take off running for home, only to see that his retreat was cut off by what appeared to be a few dozen soldiers. Eyes as wide as saucers, he turned away from the jackboots and saw that a crowd of panicked newsmen and citizens were pouring out of City Hall.

Following an instinct that Mund couldn’t describe, he called out to the panicking people that now found themselves alongside him between the National Guard and the rioters. “We godda git oudda ‘ere. Come wit' me if ya want ta live!” Without really looking to see if anyone was following him, Mund took off running South, hoping that he wasn’t leading anyone into even more trouble…

Word of the protest had spread like wildfire and like any young delinquent, Alex had to make an appearance. Whoever the protesters were and whatever they were protesting weren’t even on his radar. The mood on the street was tense, like building up to a giant electric shock, but that just made it all the easier for Alex to go unnoticed. There were a whole lotta people packed in there, all too distracted to notice whether their wallet or cellphone had disappeared from their unguarded pockets.

He’d already gathered a couple hundred in cash by the time the doors to the city hall opened and chaos suddenly erupted. Whether it had been a gunshot or yelling that came first, it was hard to tell but things went south quick and pretty soon bricks were going through windows and people were running around panicking.

Far be it from Alex to miss out on the fun. He scouted out his own lone brick and pitched it through a shop window, though he was careful enough to hit anyone because he liked to think he had standards. He pulled his hood up and climbed in through the window, taking a moment to stuff his pockets full of candies and other snacks sitting by the register with a loud WHOOP. All those overpriced Lindt truffles belonged to him now.

Alex looked out to the street to see a line of soldiers in swat gear advancing. NOPE. He may have been defiant, but there were some things even he knew not to mess with...riot gear encrusted dudes with guns were one of those things. Hastily shoving a final chocolate truffle into his mouth. Alex carefully climbed back out through the broken window, pulled his hood down, and did his best to blend in with the retreating crowd. Where they were headed, he sure as hell didn’t know, but they seemed to be following some kid in dreads and that was good enough for him.

By the time a brick went whizzing past his head to smash through the window of one of the shops downtown, Avery was pretty sure he was going to be late to work. A normal person would have turned tail and headed home to hole up for the foreseeable future, but come on, normal people didn't live in Columbiana Valley. And this little disturbance of the peace looked like it was about ten seconds away from going full blown riot.

This is what he got for trying to stick to a New Year's resolution. Ooooooh Avery we're worried about your diabetes, you have to loose some weeeeeight, you should starting to woooooork. Yeah, fat lotta good that was doing for him now, wouldn't matter if he was pudgy when he was dead on the sidewalk.

But despite the cynicism, Avery was worried. He was pretty sure he has just heard a gunshot go off, the shouting and screaming and looting seemed to be escalating all around him, and he could see people starting to throw punches a few feet in front of him. Yeah, no, screw this, he needed to get the hell out of dodge and over to the hospital before he got trampled so he could the people who did.

He started off down the road that linked downtown to the hospital, starting to fish his phone out of the back pocket of his scrubs to give the front desk a heads up if they weren't aware of how bad things were getting out here when he realized he didn't have it. Did he leave it at home? No, he had just checked it a few blocks ago, which meant--

“Oh COME ON!” Some little dickhead must have snatched it in the confusion. Fucking hell, nothing he could do about it now, just get to work and deal with one thing at a time. Which… would have been a lot easier had there not been a line of officers in SWAT gear advancing towards the riotous crowd. He had watched enough protesting videos turned ugly online to know that if he tried to walk over there and pull the I'm kind of a doctor card he'd end up with a face full of mace for his troubles.

Which meant he needed to go around, or give up, or something, anything but stay here and wait for things to turn from bad to worse, and so he took off southwards, away from the crowd, falling in line behind a guy with dreads and some kid in a hoodie who seemed to have to same idea.

Faun had found herself in the section of crowd that had chosen to vacate the building through more traditional means, rather than the portal that she had glimpsed someone creating as she was shunted outside. With her bad leg and her near-total petrification, it was all she could do to avoid being trampled in the crush of bodies. Squinting in the sudden sunlight, she took in the sight of the street's condition with a growing sense of horror and confusion. Protesters and police were tangled in a vicious melee, debris was being lobbed through the air, and several store windows were already smashed.

She looked up as someone shouted at their group, and nearly lost her footing. She could just glimpse the changeling's Mask flickering around him, but what she saw, plain as day, was a lanky blue creature with curved tusks and wild red hair. There was little time to gawp, however, as police were advancing on their tangle of people. Faun held a suspicion that running away would only incite them to chase, but as high as tempers were running in a situation like this, perhaps it was best to stay out of arm's reach.

She followed after the ogre at a determined limp, already feeling her stone-constricted lungs begin to labor with the effort. But she wanted answers, and if she hadn't seen this particular changeling in the meeting hall, odds were that meant he was one of the protesters.

"Hey!" she shouted, trying her best to keep up with the much longer strides of the ogre. While still obviously nervous, Faun's expression had shifted to something akin to a glare as she caught up to the tall creature. "What do you all think you're doing?"

For the moment, she didn't spy the familiar face in the crowd, or what he had been up to.

Hell of a time to head out of the pub, but...Sam had closed up the tap and gave him the old heave-ho. Into what was apparently a hot fucking mess. Will had seen some shit in his day, but this wasn't part of it...this was hardly Man-U losing rioting in his book, but sure it was a hell of a thing for this sleepy mountain town.

"Sonofa..."

He dodged a broken bottle whizzing through the air and it served as a pretty solid reminder that this kind of chaos was fucking awful. He LIKED sleepy. Liked it a lot, and sadly he wasn't the only having that issue, what with the outrage of everyone not looting and causing havoc. Or you know 'keeping the peace' because that clap of mechanical thunder didn't seem too much like things weren't gonna get worse. "Gettin' out of here ay?" That seemed good enough idea to him...both answering the girl, and well...asking the toasty lookin' fella about what he had in mind.

As for the kid and the chub, well...to be absolutely honest, he didn't notice them so much as fall into line after them, wanting to get out of here if that was the plan.

Mund wasn't really paying attention to who was following him, at least not at first. He ducked and weaved through the streets of downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods, but it seemed like everywhere he turned there were faceless officers in riot gear. He may not have done anything wrong (and didn't know that not everyone who followed him was as innocent), but it didn't matter. The scattered images they saw of these officers grabbing ahold of other escaping citizens showed little mercy to the innocent and guilty alike. Running past one such unlucky protester, shoved harshy facedown on the pavement as handcuffs were clicked shut, Mund muttered a "Sorry, mon..." as he ran past.

Finallly rounding the corner of a nearby side street, Mund stopped long enough to look around and who had followed him this far. What he saw surprised him. There was a young man, who Mund thought he may have seen among the protesters but was out of it enough to be unsure at that. There was a man who looked surprisingly tight-laced and professional to be out on the streets tonight standing alongside a particularly scruffy looking nerf-herder. Then there was the stoney Changeling woman who was currently shouting at him.

Mund blinked a few times slowly at her words before laughing sarcasticaly. "Whut do I be doin? I be runnin, mon...." He shrugged. "What else I be doin? Da jack-booted fascists walkin da streets be actin' like dis be Russia. Till it calm down, I don' want to let 'em git too close ya get me?" He ran a hand through his hair and looked around nervously. "I mean, I don' tink dere carin much wetter we deserve it'r not." He looked her clearly in the eye with a wink and a grin. "Why? Water you doin?

With a quiet laugh, Mund jabbed a finger towards Will. "Dis guy's got da right idea!" He clapped a hand on Will's shoulder with a grin. "And he's still right. We gotta git offa da street. This place's clear, but not for long. Dose assholes'll catch up to 'ere soon enough and we don' wanna be in sight." Glancing between the people who made up this small rag-tag group of misfits, Mund wondered how a group like this could possibly come together like this, before reminding himself that desperation makes strange bedfellows. "Anybody got any ideas...?"

Mund looked around at exactly where they had ended up. They were off the main plaza of downtown, which was still visible a short distance away and crawling with riot-geared members of the National Guard desperately trying to catch and contain the protesters, rioters, and citizens foolish enough to try to run across the green. To the opposite side, Mund saw what appeared to be an open street with shops all along. There was an antique shop, a jewelery store, and a few others, all of which were closed. None of which stood out to him as a good place to retreat but maybe the open street out into the residential neighborhoods beyond...? "...or not." He muttered softly to himself as he saw a pair of soldiers setting up a checkpoint a few blocks down, clearly intending to "protect" the neighborhoods beyond and who would see them if they moved much further. "Cause I'm open minded mon, since we don' got alotta options..."

Alex didn’t really know where he was going, he was just following the dude in front of him. Before he knew it they had collected a nice little group of refugees, among them the girl Alex had met that one day in the alley...Marie...Mary, she’d said her name was something that started with an M, but Alex still couldn’t remember. It seemed like no matter what direction they turned they were met by armed officers. Frankly, it was bullshit. They were just trying to leave and, you know, not get into any more trouble, but there the officers were, body-slamming anyone who got too close.

“Uh…” Mund wanted ideas, okay. Brainstorming, not exactly Alex’s forte, but he was going to give it a try. “Why don’t we just find a couple we can pick off?” He pointed to the pair of soldiers setting up the checkpoint down the street. “Yanno, like knock ‘em out or something. We can totally take them.” There were five of them, if they could find a lone couple of officers they’d be able overwhelm them no problem. Or at least, that was what Alex’s experience watching action movies had told him. He may have been overestimating his abilities just a little bit.

“If we can get past that checkpoint, we’re free.” You know, unless there were other soldiers further on, but Alex hadn’t managed to think that far ahead.

Did any of them know where the hell they were going? Avery was willing to be that no, no they didn't, and really, the only reason he was following the small little group was they were walking away from chaos and, at least as far as he'd seen, none of them were the assholes throwing bricks n' shit through windows.

But just because they were leaving the enter hub of discontent didn't mean they were in the clear. As soon as the guy with dreds came to a stop, Avery followed suit, catching sight of those armed guards ahead and yeah, that didn't look too inviting. With the group at a momentary stand-still, Avery took a second to see who else had seen fit to follow Jamaican Wake N' Bake off the beaten path. There was hoodie guy, who had been directly in front of him as they had headed off, and some lanky blond guy-- or, uh, bloke, maybe, given that accent, and a red haired woman, all people who looked maybe-sorta familiar but not so much that Avery could place a name.

He watched the proceedings with a dull sort of expression, just waiting to see where this was all going, not really feeling like jumping into the middle of this 'what are we doing?' discussion because, as far as Avery was concerned, they weren't doing anything; first chance he got, he was going to cut off towards the hospital. But Cool Runnings was right, they needed to get past those guards. There was a chance they might let him pass if he just showed them his hospital ID and explained the situation, then again, with the whole 'can't trust the fuzz' attitude everyone seemed to be adopting lately, who knew?

At least no one was stupid enough to suggest they start throwing bows--

Oh, wait, too late.

"Are you some kind of moron?" Avery rolled his eyes, then glanced over at hoodie guy, gesturing towards the riot police. "'Pick them off'? Come on, man, that's the fastest way to meet the business end of a billy club. Maybe even worse." A quick sigh, and then; "Hear me out, here; why don't we just go talk to them like normal people?" Avery lifted his hands and waved them through the air, like someone telling a ghost story around a campfire, complete with 'wooOOoooOOOoo' sound effects for good measure.

"No, I mean--oh, never mind..." She'd find out what had triggered this riot later. Right now, Faun needed to face the slightly more pressing matter of the armed officers encroaching on them. "I'm trying not to get hit in the face or trampled, 'swhat I'm doing," she muttered under her breath. The world around them was utter chaos, and despite her protective rocky coating, she still found herself flinching whenever a projectile was flung past their little group. She kept up as best she could, cursing Corvus--not for the first time--on his particular choice of transformation for her. The bastard had been obsessed with birds, she couldn't have gotten wings or something cool like that? Nooooo, she just had to have hooves and a deadweight leg.

They clustered together, searching for an escape route that wouldn't take them past a gauntlet of officers. The lanky troll seemed at a loss, which didn't reassure her, seeing as he appeared to be the only one among them with any idea as to what was going on. Faun finally noticed Alex's presence when he spoke up, and for a moment, recalling how he had helped her once before, she dared hope that he might have a good plan.

Plan? Yes. Good? Not so much.

Someone else objected before she could, however, proposing a slightly more sensible approach. "I vote for talking," she said, looking over towards the checkpoint. "If we don't act like feral animals, they won't treat us like it."

Ideas...ideas...Will was a touch slow on the uptake but when given the task in attempt to help a group of innocents, well yeah he'd step up, too bad his thoughts tripped as worst case scenario type thinking cropped up. "...Wut?" Luckily he didn't have to point out how absolutely daffy that was, since the little guy and the girl had something to say before he had to interject, yet there was something worth saying there just the same, he had done and said some dumb stuff in his day, and maybe it was just that he was older and wiser- but even Will couldn't exactly back that one up.

"I...am gonna have to go with this lot here." He gestured a thumb between the two nay sayers, "'Sides, ever been tazed? It's not a good time...naw, I'm sure if they're aren't much for talkin' we could uh..." Will looked around, a little lost for a second, as though his slow cadence in speech just petered out, "...Could slip into a building yeah? Lots of fire escapes back ways into alleys..." He had been through it all trying to catch the local and introduced fauna of the Valley, for better or worse, though that did seem a lot of work so conversation would be well, preferred.

He glanced around, brows bobbing as he looked at each person one by one, sooo who was it gon' be? Seemed the whole lot of them looked like they probably couldn't quite say their peace and taken seriously. Little chap was powerful ornery, girl was (rightfully or no) scared shitless, boy was a rabble rouser and then there was their obviously stoned mate who asked the lot of them for good ideas.

Right he had none.

"So...who's gonna do it?"

Mund couldn't help but chuckle darkly to himself as the 'ideas' came rolling in from the others. Sure he didn't know who these people were, but it was clear that he had struck the jackpot with clever people in his impromptu crew. He nodded idly as he listened to the one guy talk. "Ya. Sorry mon, but I godda go wit' the udders on dis one. Sure we could prolly ove power one'r two, d'eres no way to know if der's more nearby or if we'd all avoid gettin' hurt. Not a risk I'm willin ta take." He grinned broadly with a chuckle. "If ya want ta try it yaself, I won't stop ya. Dough I reserve da right ta record it." He winked and chuckled again.

Then he turned to the little guy. "Not dat I tink yer plan's much bettah, little dude." He smiled his overy broad grin again. "I don' tink dey be interested in talkin..." He gestured with a thumb back towards the plaza where one trooper had just roughly tackled a young woman to the ground with audible force. "...maybe dat'll work in a hour 'r two. Now dough? Now I want ta be anywhere else den near dem." He shrugged. "Same deal dough... If ya wantta try, don' let me stop ya." He gave Avery the thumbs up before glancing at Faye.

"Fair 'nough." He still didn't quite understand what her issue was, but as the only one here that he knew wasn't bseline human, he was willing to give her some slack. "If ya want to join the little bruddah, go right ahead. I'm not gunna til it calms down some." He shrugged. "Do what ya want gal, but I'd rather go wit dis guy's idea..." Then he jabbed a finger towards Will.

"English, I like da way ya tink." He nodded and glanced around with a curious expression looking for something... Then he barked out a single shouting laugh. "D'at shoud work niiice..." He smiled and pointed to the alleyway across the street. There he gestured to a small ladder leading to a fire escape and a nearby window. Without even really pausing overlong, he ran across and up the ladder in a single fluid motion. His graceful motion was ruined a moment later with a twanging sound as a trap was sprung and Mund shouted. "Ow, mon! Dat hurts!"

Any who followed him would find that Mund was laying on the floor of a seemingly abandoned antique shop. A thin string had been strung just underneath the window and there was what appeared to be a crossbow bolt in his arm, which he now clutched in a hand as a trickle of red (purple to Changeling eyes) flowed between his fingers. Damn...

((Admin Note: The trap that Mund stumbled into is not the only one in the room. It is not required, but if you wish to have your character spring another one: feel free to do so. Very few are immediately lethal, but they can cause wounds. Just assume that each trap is the sort that a weirdo with too much time and basic materials could rig up.))

So it was unanimously agreed that Alex’s idea was a terrible one, but he was too cocky to just drop it completely. Puffing out his chest a tiny bit, he tried to find a way to justify his reasoning...well, so they didn’t think he was a moron. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out another piece of chocolate, unwrapped it, tossed the wrapper on the ground, and shoved the candy into his mouth. The short tubby dude was first. “Like, have you ever even talked to a cop before?” Because Alex had. They weren’t nice. Of course, a lot of that had to do with Alex himself.

“We try to talk they’d just beat us for lawls, might as well make it harder for them.” He mumbled between chews. Okay, so maybe it was a terrible idea, now that he thought about it. Then the foreign dude spoke up. He sounded Australian or something, not like Alex had any clue really. “Yeah, I been tazed. You know what’s worse than a taser? Going to jail.” This Alex knew from experience, though both his priorities and logic in general were a little fucked up.

So they stood there in the middle of the street, a bunch of morons trying to decide how best to avoid being clubbed like baby seals. Hiding in a building seemed like a good enough idea to Alex. He shrugged as Mund took off up the fire escape. “Works for me.” Alex scrabbled up the ladder after Mund just in time to see the kid punctured by a crossbow bolt.

His first reaction was not that Mund had triggered a trap, but that there must have been someone in the shop armed with a crossbow. Naturally Alex had to find some cover before they took a shot at him. Slipping through the window, he sidled along the wall and ducked behind an old armoire. He felt a tug, some kind of resistance near his foot but didn’t immediately think anything of it.

Until a paint can came swinging down from the ceiling, right into his head. He was fortunate that it wasn’t a solid hit. The can grazed the side of Alex’s forehead and kind of spun off to the side. The force was enough to split open the skin and cause him to see stars. The wound began to bleed heavily, as head wounds do. “The fuck?!?!” He shouted and ducked, trying to process what the hell was going on.

"Like, yeah, I have." Avery mimicked the young punk's tone as he replied, for no real reason except for the fact that he was Avery and that was the sort of asshole he was. He simply rolled his eyes at that 'lawls' bit, really feeling that age gap between him and the other man, but he relented, just leaving the kid and London to have their little back-and-forth.

Seemed the majority of the group was in agreement, and that was fine by Avery. Seeing as he was the one to bring up talking to the riot police in the first place, he moved to volunteer as the guinea pig, but dred guy spoke up and he paused, sighing in annoyance at yet another upset in his quest to get to the hospital.

"My name's not 'little dude', it's Avery." Man, what was everybody's hang up with his height? Plenty of guys were 5'5. It wasn't that weird. IT WASN'T THAT WEIRD-- er. Anyhow. Avery let out a huff, glancing over towards where dred guy was pointing, and frowned, not liking what he was seeing over there, but not every cop was a total dickhead. "Well, yeah, I mean... that guy's not into talking, but those guys might be." Those dudes were just standing there, if he approached them calmly everything should be gravy, right?

Right. Probably.

Either way, he wasn't about to start breaking and entering, that would really give the cops something to hold against them, and so he just waved a hand dismissively as dred guy and the punk kid headed off towards some fire escape. Good luck and godspeed. Avery watched as they climbed up the ladder, then started to heads towards the police line, only to hear a bit of ruckus followed by a cry of pain and a curse-heavy outburst.

Well, shit.

Avery made an agitated noise, trying to convince himself that this wasn't his problem, but ugh, as always his stupid squishy heart won out and he found himself muttering angrily as he climbed up the fire escape. He ducked a head through the window, and saw one guy with a punctured bleeding hand and another with a mean cut across the forehead. "Oh what the hell?!"

He started to slip through the window, going in feet-first and settling the bottom of his shoes against a seemingly-sturdy crate on the ground below, but as soon as he put his full weight against it there was a clicking noise, followed by a strange zipping sound and--

SHINK!

Avery barely managed to duck in time to avoid the hatchet that came swinging down from the ceiling, ultimately landing his chubby butt on the pressure plate he had been standing on as the hand axe thunked harmlessly against the wall behind him, the only casualty a few hairs from the very top of his head.

"Ahh! Oh holy crap! Ohhhh my gaaaawd!" He'd tend to those two wounds in a second he just needed his heart to get out of his throat and back into his chest.

They still seemed rather divided--some wanted to try talking, others just wanted to get the heck out of Dodge. The final consensus seemed to shift towards the latter. Frankly, Faun didn't care what they did so long as it got them to safety without them having to evade and/or assault men in riot gear. "That also works," she said quietly, watching as the others dashed down an alleyway, though the shorter fellow still seemed to think talking was the smarter idea. She was about to follow after him when when there came a sudden cry of pain from the interior of the building, followed by several others. Equal parts startled and puzzled, she gave a confused look at Avery, who seemed to be wondering the same thing.

After a moment of deliberation, he took off to investigate, leaving just Faun and the blonde man. She glanced over her shoulder at the police, then back at the alleyway. Scared she might have been, but she wasn't heartless.

She followed after the others, then came to a skidding halt at the sight of the ladder and open window. Real goats might have been nimble, but she was not. Stone was heavy and ungainly, and Faun wasn't exactly the strongest of changelings. Sucking in a breath, Faun backed up a few paces, then took a running jump towards the ladder. Grunting with the effort, she hauled herself up and over, landing heavily on the dusty floor inside. The scene in here almost matched the chaos of the outside world--the others had already tripped all manner of booby traps--and who even made booby traps any more?! Both Alex and the other changeling were bleeding, a sight that alarmed her, though the other boy looked unharmed (albeit scared out of his skin).

Though she was torn on who to help first--her fellow changeling, or one of the only people she could possibly consider a friend in this weird town--she eventually went for Alex, reasoning that a head wound was more serious than an injured arm. She traced a careful path across the floor, leading with her stone leg, taking off her jacket as she did so and balling it up into a wad. Her eyes scanned the floor, watching for panels or tripwires in her way. The girl carefully skirted a square of off-color wood, guessing it to be a trap, but her detour took her into the path of a wire, hidden in the gloom. Furred ears rose at the sound of creaking gears above her, and she threw up her arms to protect her head just in time as a panel on the ceiling swung open, admitting a shower of stones that crashed and bounced off her arms and shoulders as she yelped in pain. Being stone herself, she was able to endure it, but when the cascade ended, she was dismayed to discover the chips taken out of her forearms by each impact. That was really going to hurt when she softened up again.

She was able to make it to Alex without further incident, and attempted to press the padded jacket to his wound as a makeshift bandage to staunch the bloodflow. "We should probably get out of here before things start exploding," she said, addressing the group as a whole. She wouldn't put it past whoever had rigged up this place to have some really nasty surprises hidden as well.

All this cop talk got him thinking, and he was liable to hurt himself doing something dumb as that. Will looked at the faces of the police officers in their gear and had a real hell of time recognizing them, in fact...he couldn't remember a single one of them all trussed up like that. Kind of gave him a start, not that he was scared, naw he was never scared but he couldn't help but wonder where Xi was in all of this, because she would have had to be in all of this, but she was a tough gal, yeap...not scared at all, but he did check his phone just on the off chance that maybe she like...texted or something. Nothing.

"Shit."

His face screwed up, "Ay, not all cops are peckerheads. They just doin' their job, so...whatcha bein' a prick for? " A touch defensive he huffed cracking his knuckles as he thought for just a moment maybe it would be smarter to go it alone, but damn that better nature of his, this lot needed his help he was certain. And he couldn't just ignore that much as he wanted to stomp off in a huff. "Uh huh...wait, wut?" So he got caught off guard, he had been mostly coming up with a last minute type contingency plan, not like...something they really ought to do.

And then came the freeze, watching the groups divide and he wasn't quite as fast on the uptake to make a proper decision in so little time, he was half weighing his options, both had a few good points, and to be honest- he was more inclined to keep back with this 'Avery' and the girl. They'd probably need him around a bit more, Bit of muscle and all that, "Well, on the level, it's not English, It's Will so...yeah." So long as they were all spouting off, before figuring what to do next...though the plan changed for the umpteenth time as the B&E crew started to cry out one at a time, "Oh hell..." Maybe if he had been a bit more observant he would have noticed how close he was to home, and what building it was they had crept into, but Will was oblivious as he followed after the lady and the short fella and into what looked a bit like some scene from 'Home Alone'

Will stood agape for a moment there, mouth flapping like a landed trout as he tried to cry out as a blade and a pile of gravel hit came towards his cavalry. Had he been a clever man, maybe he'd have had the sense to stay still where it was safe, but no one would have ever confused Will as a clever man, and taking a few steps forward he yelped, suddenly taking to the air with a quick swing and a sharp jerk. Hanging from a hunters snare from his ankle and feeling...well, a complete and absolute tit. He should have known better, and now everything from his neck to his ass felt like it had whiplash.

"Um...little help here...kinda...just swinging. Heh, suppose i'm fine though, just...hahah hanging out."

The hanged man groaned, between chuckling at his own joke- feeling the blood rush to his face as he tried not to focus in on anyone as he spun along, least he heave-hoed the nights drinking on the floor.
